This calendar is customizable, so go ahead and add any special dates you want to remember: Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and more!
Verses from the King James Bible are paired with nature photographs by your shopkeeper, Cheryl Rogers.
Here is what you get:
January -- Start the year off with a Scripture that makes a great prayer. This month features a quote from Psalm 119:126: “It is time for thee, Lord, to work: for they have made void thy law.” The photo shows Riverhills Park in Temple Terrace at sunset, in time of drought. It is edited so the text stands out.
February -- This month features a quote about love and fear to encourage you to walk in faith and peace. The verse is: "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18 The photos shows a lovely Don Juan rose still wet from the rain. March -- Declare God is your rock and strength with this quote from Psalms 18: 1, 2: “I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” The photo shows rocks at Treasure Island, Florida, near the bridge to John's Pass.
April -- In time for April showers, the month features this reminder to be obedient. "If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season...” Leviticus 26: 3,4 The photo shows a close up of a Gerbera Daisy after a rain.
May -- Use this month's quote to build self esteem. “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” Psalms 139:17, 18 The photo shows a shell on shore at Treasure Island, Florida.
June -- June is a reminder to hang on! “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” Isaiah 64:4 The photo shows a baby tree frog with its eye bulging as it rests on a Bride's Dream rose.
July -- July brings a reminder you can be fruitful by abiding in Jesus, our vine. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5 The photo shows beautiful red cherries, ready to eat.
August -- Encourage yourself with this month's Scripture verse: "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31,32 This photo shows a Gulf Fritillary butterfly drinking nectar from a penta flower near Tampa, Florida.
September -- This month's verse is one of classics of Jesus: “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:44, 45 This photo shows the sun rising on the Gulf of Mexico at Pensacola Beach, Florida. October -- This Scripture quote about apples comes in time for the harvest: "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." Proverbs 15:11 This photo shows a close up of a Golden Delicious apple.
November -- November features another popular verse: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.” James 1:22-24 The photo shows the sun setting on the Hillsborough River at Riverhills Park in Temple Terrace, Florida.
December -- We end the year with a reminder of God's greatness. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:0 The photo shows the sky photographed from an airplane.
