3 screws loose 2007 calendar by Anjo Lafin
by talisbirdScrap metal combines in a surreal way with scrapbook items of art plus some new angles from alternative computer artist Anjo Lafin. All image content by the artist.
The 3 screws loose in the title is both frivolous and otherwise. The screws come from the scrap metal theme that occurs throughout the calendar. There is a graveyard of burnt cars out there in the bush surrounding my home that provided photographic subject matter. Also the 3 screws loose denote (apart from the zany inference) the 3 yang bars of the trigram that indicates heaven in the I Ching system and also I believe hard metal in feng shui. I am not knowledgeable on these subjects and I stand to be corrected, but I think there is at least a vague relationship there. I have a lot of bits and pieces of old drawings and digital images of mine in various folders that made it into the scrap theme and I also added some new ones and churned the whole thing up.
