Meier started taking his UFO photos in 1964, in India, with the bulk of his UFO photos, films, video, sound recordings and metal samples occurring between 1975 and 1981, in Switzerland, long before home computers, PhotoShop, etc.

Academy Award-winning special effects experts, Uncharted Territory, declared that it would have been "very hard, even impossible" for Meier to have used model UFOs.
