Melanie, I finally made it over here to see your Vintage Pets gallery! I love your "pets in Art collection" here! I've had fun looking at them. I just started my fairy tale illustration gallery so I favorited many of the pictures here. I loved so many of them! Lorrie

Thanks for the feature - it's quite a honor!!! Hopefully I'll have more vintage stuff up soon as well as some original paintings - it's just that the pesky "real" job sometimes gets in the way!! LOL

Hi Melanie, the F stands for Faille - the first complete catalog of Vincent's works was made by Jacob Baart de la Faille in 1928.  The JH numbers are from the catalog of Jan Hulsker, made in the 1980s.  Van Gogh scholars use the numbers a lot, they are the only reliable way to identify the pictures because Vincent drew and painted so many with the same subjects and titles.

I didn't realize you had featured some of my items in your Squidoo lens. Thank you. The different card games are funny. Definitely different artists. Must have been trendy. Wonder if someone combined the dogs and cats and birds at one game?

That was a fun one to do. It looks like you've started something fun and now in your terrific Gallery. What a great idea to do something where the buyer can ad their own face to a fun figure!

Thanks for pointing out my typo on the Kitty picture! It would be cool if copyright law extended that long, but really, I should take more time to proofread my work. Thank you, Thanks too for your nice comments, I appreciate it. I really think your gallery concept and content are really awesome. I am a fan of vintage, found, and vernacular images, so so I really like your vision and imagination here.. I'll be back regularly! Cheers!
