Édouard Manet - A bar at the Folies-Bergère, 1881 -1882 oil on canvas. Manet was a French painter. He was born on January 23, 1832. He did influence the Impressionist style, during the 1860s. He did change the course of art with his personal painting style. In 1882 he created the painting A Bar at the Folies-Bergère. He died at the early age of fifty-one, near Paris on April 30, 1883. The original of this painting belongs to Courtauld Institute of Art Gallery in London, England.
