This is Deipr. It's not often that twins show up here but this is what happened with Deipr and her brother Depf. Being a leviathan and so much bigger than the other water dragons causes them to be a little shunned sadly. She can't understand her brothers obsession with watching the smaller water dragons and trying to interact with them. The only friend she has managed to make is Mari the sea serpent (if you'd ever met Mari you'd understand her lack of fear) and they often race to see who can dive the deepest.
Here's Depf, a leviathan and Deipr's twin brother. Depf is slightly more outgoing and sensitive than his sister. Whereas she doesn't mind their great size leaving them mostly apart from the other water dragons, Depf does. Often he watches them at play from a distance and just wishes he could join in. He might be getting closer in the form of Pen. The two of them came across each other the other day and though Pen was initially frightened by the contact he's had some time to think it over and realise he was never in any danger.
There's a wooden pier jutting far out into the ocean here in Baby Dragon Land, and one fine day I went for a stroll right to the end and just stood there for a while.
During my ponderings I noticed two huge shadows moving just below me, rising up through the water. At first I thought it might have been the parents of some of the water dragons or sea serpents. But no, it was the two twin babies, Deipr and Depf.
For a long time I watched them as they watched me in turn then before I knew it, they were gone. It was something I'll never forget and to ensure I didn't, I took a picture of that time.
So here it is, a visit from Deipr and Depf.
