Ray Yeargin's distinctive style features smoothly distorted geometric shapes, the juxtaposition of order and chaos, and rich colors that continuously morph into new colors. Chaos is usually visible in the appearance of broken and worn-through image surfaces revealing other layers below.

His methods of creating these images slowly evolved for over twenty years as he developed his unique painting software. None of his art was released before 2010 and his first large works were created in 2011.
