Two imps are biting the cheeks of this gargoyle on the side of Salisbury Cathedral.
Gargoyles are nearly always used to guide rainwater away from the walls and this one is no exception.
As an interesting side note, the sculptor of this architectural piece got in touch with me to give some very positive feedback. Jay Battle said:
