ALAN HEUER ("Hoyer") painter of "Landscapes of the West and Beyond"

Originally from Wyoming and then New York CIty, Alan eventually made his way to Taos, New Mexico to pursue a career as a fine artist.

A "Taos Post Modernist", Alan Heuer is an interpretive southwest artist who uses a color-drenched oil palette to create powerful, dramatic interpretations of the West & Beyond. When stepping beyond the ordinary, he likes to push his vision of the world to create romantic oils which combine multiple geographic locations into one painting, a sort of "hyper-reality" he coined "Utopic Displacement".

As a first-time participant in 2006 he won best of show for representational painting at the prestigious Taos Fall Arts Festival in Taos, New Mexico.

Alan Heuer is represented in Taos by Sage Fine Art and the Enchanted Dreams Foundation, an organization dedicated to the support of individuals and families affected by Autism-Spectrum Disorder.
