REM SPFX

Welcome!

REM SPFX is an homage to the beloved Japanese TOKUSATSU and KAIJU programs of the 70s.

TOKUSATSU (literally translated as "special effects") is a Japanese term that describes any live-action film or television drama that usually featured superheroes and made considerable use of special effects. KAIJU is another Japanese word that means "strange beast," but often translated in English as "monster."

The artwork is for a color sketchbook called REM SPFX that I've created my presence at Artist's Alley at SDCC 09 (San Diego Comic Con 2009). REM SPFX is also part of a developing web comic that I will be offering for free viewing on my website once completed. (Please check www.andrewkudelka.com or www.amkudelka.com weekly for more info.)
