This photo was taken near Coalfield, Tennessee, in the summer of 2011. It's simply some trees near a creek, but the one smaller tree has chosen the spot it wishes to grow in, and doesn't seem to care that another larger tree is there already. An awkward position, for sure. We plan to check back this year, or the next, to see how this arrangement is working out for the trees...
