Ancient Egyptian Sphinx Mugs

The Sphinx was popular with many cultures. The ancient Egyptians said she was a temple guardian.
The ancient Greek version was winged. Best known is the Sphinx of Thebes who would ask a riddle of all travelers to the city. "What is it that goes on 4 legs in the morning, 2 legs in the afternoon and 3 legs in the evening, but the more legs it has the weaker it is?" Answer wrong, and you were lunch.
This piece was done in dyes and color pencil and is one of the Mythic Creatures Series.
