Ankylosaurus Dinosaur statue from Parque Cretacico in Sucre Bolivia.
When visiting Sucre, Bolivia, you can take a day trip to the Parque Cretacico. I had concerns that it would be too touristy and for kids, but we actually enjoyed it very much. When we arrived at Parque Cretacico they had the speakers turned on and you felt like you were walking through your own Jurassic Park. About 45 minutes in the speakers were turned off. We suspected that they were turned on only for those who paid for the tour, but I can't be sure.
Parque Cretacico can be covered in under an hour if you walk quickly, but it is better to take your time, walk the grounds with dinosaurs towering over you, visit the museum, and sit and ponder about the REAL dinosaur footprints on the wall across the cavern.
This Ankylosaurus dinosaur was spectacular against the clear blue sky.
