Composite image of the Antennae Galaxies
This striking picture is a composite created from images from the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. It depicts the Antennae galaxies in a state of collision, 62 million light years from Earth. The image has blue, white, pink and red tones, and a snake-like appearance.
