Anti-genocide T-shirt: ARMENIA by inamar
Armenian Genocide - 1915-1918: The government's plan was to "relocate" Armenians living in Turkey. Armenians were said it would be "for their own good". Armenians didn't know what was planned for them that is why they obediently followed the government's instructions. Through deportations and massacres they were eliminated from their homeland. 1,500,000 Armenians died. Many survived to tell us the story. The following passage has been extracted from the book "Survivors. An oral history of the Armenian Genocide" by Donald E. Miller and Lorna Touryan Miller (page 5): In the public imagination, the Jewish Holocaust is often remembered as the only genocide of the modern age and, therefore, considered to be something of an anomaly. [...] The one way in which the Jewish Holocaust is anomalous is that it has not been denied, except by a few revisionists."
