Antique Baltusrol Country Club Cartoon Mouse Mats

According to their Web site, Baltusrol Country Club in Springfield NJ, dates to 1895 and "is considered one of the country's premier private golf clubs" and has "hosted 16 national championships, including seven U.S. Opens and one PGA Championship." This bit of ca. 1911 humor about Baltusrol features the clubhouse in the background. At the bottom is a bit of humor that says: "Cecile: 'Isn't that Mr. Faraway over there?' Billy: 'Yes. He is surely a week-end favorite.' Bert: 'Which end?' Although the club is in Springfield, apparently early members or visitors to the club who arrived by train would have to get off at Short Hills, so many early publications gave a Short Hills address for Baltusrol If you are or are close to a golf enthusiast, this vintage Baltusrol golf club mouse pad is a great small gift to remind you or your friend of the renowned golf course.
