Ban Intolerance Tee Shirt by MidnightOil
Hoping to win a war, Roman Emperor Constantine ordered his army to pray to the Christian God. He did win the war. In the year 313, Constantine issued the Edict of Milan, in which he proclaimed Christianity the only religion allowed in the Roman Empire, thus starting the era of religious intolerance that can be felt to this day. Since all Western countries base their legal system on Roman Law and since the Edict of Milan was never formally rescinded, technically religious intolerance is still the law, and religious freedom only applies to Christians. It is time to make a formal declaration ending the era of intolerance and making it clear that the freedom of religion means the freedom to have *any* religion (including the null religion).

Ban Intolerance

In the year 313 the Emperor Constantine started the era of religious intolerance with his Edict of Milan, which, technically is still a law in all Western societies.

Ban the Edict of Milan
Thanks to mch25466145 for setting the record straight. The Edict of Milan was the first known edict of tolerance. After hundreds of years of Roman persecution of Christians, this Edict by Constantine allowed religious freedom for all people.
mch25466145
The Edict of Milan was actually a declaration of religious tolerance in the Byzantine Empire. It granted the freedom to all people to worship without fear of persecution. Although, during the reign of Constantine I, many of the people throughout the Byzantine Empire excersized religious freedom already. The Edict of Milan was a reiteration of the sentiments. http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/382119/Edict-of-Milan
