This still life painting was painted on the property of Wiegand Studios and Museum. The purpose was to raise awareness of the effort being made by the Corps of Engineers to increase the effect of the levee by building a wall through this property, thus destroying the park like grounds with all of its beautiful plants and animals. This is one of the paintings I did on location. It was the first painting to be sold at the event which welcomed the public to a reception to rally opposition to the proposed destruction of this property.
