The Barnett Shale Shop

Ft. Worth, Texas has the good fortune (or misfortune, depending on how you look at it) to sit atop one of the largest natural gas deposits in the United States. The Barnett Shale. This has resulted in some 1,000 natural gas wells being drilled in a highly urbanized area, something that has never been done before. In order to service those wells, a network of gathering pipelines is also required. All of this has fueled widespread efforts to control well locations and pipeline routes in order to minimize the impact they will have on both the environment and general quality of life.

The purpose of this gallery is to provide a way for those opposed to the natural gas wells and pipelines to vent their spleen thru bumper stickers, coffee mugs and other products.
