(the hero within) ...... the strength, the tenacity and true grit - Beacon of Hope is just that ......... a light that shines eternal, where there is light, there is hope, where there is hope .... a cure and prevention on some (hopefully not too distant) horizon. This artwork was born from my participation in an awareness contest "Think Pink," held annually by my friend in an art community I belong to. She is herself a survivor of Breast Cancer (which sadly this year returned). A tribute to special friends (Jennifer Barker & Ellen Kelly) and to all women ......
