Chad McCown's illustration and design impacts the viewer immediately through the artist's clean and minimal compositions and sophisticated graphic styling. When asked about his work, artist Chad McCown explains: "This illustration was created as part of a series for the holiday season. Larry Hausen, a northern California native and graduate of California College of Arts & Crafts, illustrates and designs for a range of clients in professional sports, entertainment, special events and consumer products. He is recognized for sports portraits and award-winning fairs and special events posters and graphics. Comfortable working in a traditional watercolor medium, Larry excels in digital expressions. Steve Scott is an animator and illustrator whose works have appeared at the Guggenheim, graced the stage behind Led Zeppelin at the band's last live performance, and exhibited at Onedotzero festival and Pictoplasma. Franco Brambilla is an Italian illustrator devoted to sci-fi. He's the founder of Airstudio, a common playground of creativity, which produces collective illustrations, graphic and musical works. Franco is one of the main illustrators of the "Urania" sci-fi book collection by Mondadori. He received the "Best Artist" Award at Eurocon 2009, and his "Cute Little Aliens" have been spotted in Wired, Sunday Telegraph, and Juxtapoz Magazines since their first arrival on Earth in 2007. Jim Phillips is an iconic music and action sports illustrator, who has helped guide the imagery of popular culture for nearly 50 years with his laid back graphic style. First published as a surf cartoon contest winner in a 1962 issue of Surfer Quarterly, Phillips went on to create rock posters for Bill Graham Presents and Family Dog, as well as iconic skate graphics for Santa Cruz Skateboards. Exclusively licensed reproductions of Phillips' original art are available in his Artsprojekt store
Mimi Yoon is an LA area artist, whose art allures and seduces the audience into her stormy and vulnerable in-between world. She is the founder of Artis Art Academy, which teaches drawing and painting to kids from 1st through 12th grades, and includes portfolio preparation for students applying to art colleges. Here, Mimi describes her piece, "Closer": "It's about being far and close at once, wanting what's too far to hold, and longing for the breath she once shared..." Vector phenom Chris Parks is the creator of Pale Horse, an art and design studio focused on entertainment industry graphics, logos, and typography. Chris has created work for Nike, Redbull, Hurley, Mattel, and Cartoon Network, and has shown his art in galleries around the world. When asked about the origins of his billboard illustration, Chris explains, "Koi is inspired by old Japanese watercolor paintings mixed with a traditional tattoo art style." Photographer Ronald Todys was captivated by photography at an early age, when he used a birthday gift certificate from his mother to buy a Nikon FG20 camera. Since then Todys has upgraded to digital and turned his photo-journalistic shooting style on subjects including seasons, holidays, animals, and architecture. Jasmine Becket-Griffith, also known as Strangeling, is a fulltime artist creating her own visions of this world and others with acrylic paints & brushes. Jasmine's original acrylic painting "Three Witchy Sisters" features her trademark big eyed characters with a decidedly creepy twist. Jasmine explains, "Keeping one's eyes closed and hat on properly may bring serenity, but with open eyes one can be shocked into clarity." Photographer Keith Reicher loves the physical challenge of photography. Whether trekking up Fox Glacier in New Zealand or standin in the cold for hours by the Golden Gate Bridge, Keith feels that the more challenging it is to capture an image, the more worthy the photo. John Bergerud is a comic illustrator and part-time electronic dance music DJ with a passion for Asian culture, Sci-Fi films, and fantasy art. His alter-ego and signature character is the Futuristic Samurai DJ SHWANN. Born in Manchester, UK, Mike Karolos lives and works in Athens, Greece. Graffiti influences are apparent in his application of graphics to design and photography. Karolos explains, “Jellyfish look like they are dancing in slow motion, so using the natural lights and lines were the way for me to transform your screen into a window to the deep blue sea. Chris Leavens is the creator of optimistic and whimsical, if not bizarre, vector illustrations of surreal scenes in which monsters and anthropomorphism reign supreme.
