The Black Sea Turtle, AKA Green Sea Turtle, Pacific Sea Turtle, or Cheloniidae is the only species in the genus Chelonia, which is part of the broad sea turtle superfamily of Chelonioidea. These beautiful marine reptiles are found in subtropical seas around the world with two distinct populations in Alantic and Pacific Oceans. Commonly seen in Hawaii, Costa Rica, Cayman Islands, and Puerto Rico. In the local Hawaiian language the sea turtle is called Honu. Sea turtle conservation status is currently at endangered species, and they are harmed by many types of human pollution, development, and hunting.
