Canvas Warriors Artist Sandira Reddy is a South African born artist and designer, who began drawing at an early age ( as soon as she could pick up a pencil really! ) Brought up between South Africa and England, and having lived in New York for a few years has given her a whole spectrum of differences to influence her work.

The Canvas Warriors story began in a small studio apartment in Harlem and then later in Booklyn where Sandira would sell her handcrafted creations - Jewellery and hoodies, at artist markets in NYC.

It became the company it is when Sandira re-located back to London.

"I decided to customise my own pair of Converse one day - I was so pleased with the result that I emailed one of my favourite blogs at the time, some photos of the shoes for feedback. They loved the shoes so much that they posted them on the blog. I woke up the next day to over 300 emails enquiring about where the shoes could be bought. I got my first shoe order the next day and this website went up that week!" says Sandira.

Two years later, and nearly 400 pairs of shoes later (!) Canvas Warriors continues to make its distinct mark, and is set to grow!

Hoodies and Jewellery was a natural addition to the brand for Sandira, having had her finger on the pulse of handcrafted artisan items in NY. This is just the start of the Canvas Warriors ever expanding repertoire!

Canvas Warriors has provided custom shoes and Jewellery for a number of celebrities - Actors, singers, bands etc.

Sandira studied art and design foundation at the acclaimed Central Saint Martins college of Art and Design in London, with a concentration in illustration.
She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design at Kingston University, just outside of London.

Her Artwork has been exhibited in the UK, throughout the US and South Africa. One of her pieces was recently shortlisted in X-Power Gallery's International Art Competition and went on show in their Beverley Hills Location.

Canvas Warriors is the perfect combination of Sandira's graphic design and fine art backgrounds with a twist of her unique style!
