Chess Records was a legendary Blues record company in the 1950s and 1960s. Although the company itself died not long after its founders, the legacy of Blues music by the likes of Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Little Walter, Howlin Wolf, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry and many more famous names meant that the label is well revered in music to this day.
