The Purpose of the MLD Foundation is:
- To develop resources for families affected by Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) by developing and providing a means of communication and connection, and by providing medical, educational, advocacy, resource, and physical support.
- To develop and provide tools and methods to the medical and education communities to help them understand, diagnose, refer, treat, and eventually find a cure for MLD.
- To leverage our foundation's strengths while complementing the strengths of other foundations and organizations that share similar or overlapping goals.
