Cute Vintage Floral House Lake Roses Aprons
House on a lake, with a church behind it. The border is made of multiflora roses, which you have probably never seen because they are classified in the US as an INVASIVE SPECIES (!!!) They originated in Japan, Korea and eastern China, and were introduced to the eastern United States in 1866 as rootstock for ornamental roses. Beginning in the 1930s, the US Soil Conservation Service promoted them for use in erosion control and as "living fences" to confine livestock. State conservation departments recommended multiflora rose as cover for wildlife. Its tenacious growth habit was eventually recognized as a problem on pastures and unplowed lands, where it disrupted cattle grazing, and, more recently, as a pest of natural ecosystems. It is designated a noxious weed in several states, including Iowa, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

There is a lot of discoloration from age, also cracks in the paint. I can't fix them without losing the original texture, which I think is interesting.
