Daniel and the Lions Print by poet480
Daniel and the Lion's Den: The proof of God's power ...Now the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no musicians were brought before him. Also his sleep went from him. 19 Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?” Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God."The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God." (Daniel 6:1-23) Can you be a man or woman of integrity? One who will not compromise with the toxins of unrighteousness, ungodliness, and deceptions of this world. True leaders are not made by just the sound of their voice or the glamour of their appearance. Leaders are positioned by God because they bear similar qualities as his beloved son, Jesus Christ. It is in their humility that God directs their path and raises them to be equipped for any task. Such was the case with Daniel. A man who was in a foreign kingdom because of captivity. Chosen to be among the ranks of the kings and magistrates. Though all pressures of their culture looked to change and influence him. It was the relationship in his heart with God that was never able to be changed. God used Daniel to change the heart of their leaders and inevitably rising to second in command of all of Babylon. There are many people who have a hard time believing in the power of God and are frail in their faith. They earnestly look for the signs and wonders; the power and majesty of Christ to appear as it is told. However, it is God who allows the trials and tribulations of this world to highlight those who are victorious and who glorifiy his name. God wants to use you to be a standard bearer in your sphere of influence. A person whose devotion is not marred by opinions and is not weakened by idealists. Who will boldly represent the faith in which you believe. These men and women are the lighthouses that shall not dim nor fade away. In righteousness, they are found blameless in their doings. In purity, they are found trustworthy among people. In love, they are found as a source of God's comfort and mercy here within the Earth. They are empowered to rise and be great leaders. They are subject to our king, the Lord Jesus Christ. -RTW
