Born March 11, 1970 he has always been drawing something for someone. He spent most of his time in school drawing, and most of his teenage years were spent rendering photographic level pencil and ink illustrations. Born into an artistic family his father was a clothing designer, and mother a bridal seamstress. Art seemed to choose him.
He grew up in Hollywood California and eventually moved to Texas where he still resides. He has been illustrating on a computer for about 15 years. He began working as an Illustrator for a T-shirt company as a means to support his formal education. At Stephen F Austin he received his BFA in Painting and began work on his MFA, and in that process became an artist and professional Illustrator. He now only illustrates for a living.
His major influences growing up were Frank Frazetta, Coop, Mad, Cracked and CARtoons magazines. There are plenty more influences but too many to list. He has a vast collection of Illustration and Fine Art reference books. These and his formal training have helped him grow as an artist and have crated the style you see in his work today. This education in art has crated diversity and allowed him the opportunity to have such a large client base.
