Inspired by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, their campaigns, and initiatives, ("Building a better world through kindness to animals") I started a project documenting stray animals through my photography. It took form as a community service project which is customary to take on, as part of a Bat Mitzvah in Jewish tradition. I've always loved animals. In Best Friends I've found an organization who's philosophy I can identify with. The first part of my project was to donate all of the Bat Mitzvah money I received from friends and family to the Guardian Angel program at Best Friends. The Guardian Angel program provides medical care for sick, injured, or traumatized animals at the sanctuary. This store is the second part of my project. 100% of the profit from my original photographs will be donated to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. I hope that you enjoy my work and can join me in supporting this worthwhile cause. For more information on Best Friends please visit the Best Friends website
Dena’s love for animals and her passion to support their welfare impressed all of us here at Best Friends. Her photographs of the cats and dogs on the streets of Israel, touch the viewers’ hearts and motivate them to support animal welfare. We believe that she will inspire kids and teens everywhere to take action on behalf of the animals.
