Kilmalkedar on the Dingle Peninsula has a unique Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. The site harks back to the 7th century and has ties to St. Brendan. It is surrounded by ancient oddities such as crosses, a sundial, a holed stone, a Ogham stone, bullans and the Alphabet stone. Legend says that if you touch fingers through the holed stone you will seal a bargain. Many people renew their wedding vows there.
