I have four cats, two dogs, and--until not too long ago--a dear old ferret, and every one of them is/was fixed. Only a couple times did an animals of ours fail to be spayed or neutered, and it was not for a lack of desire on our part! I know so many people who now have far too many animals to take care of on their own, all because they neglected to spay or neuter when they only had a few.
