The Eiffel Tower (1889) by Georges Seurat is a vintage pointillist post impressionist fine art architectural painting. The Eiffel Tower was named after Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair. The famous french landmark, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. It is an iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris. About the artist: Georges-Pierre Seurat (1859-1891) altered the direction of modern art by initiating the Neo impressionism movement. The Pointillism technique is often mentioned, because it was the dominant technique in the beginning.
