Because of the absence of an incumbent vice president, Election 2008 resembled more a Political Circus during its early stages as the Two Major Parties each had a full stable of campaigning candidates vying for their Party's nomination. At one time the notable front runners included: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Rudolph Giuliani, Fred Thompson, and Mitt Romney not to mention the many other also rans. Today, The presumptive nominees include Barack Obama for the Democrat Party and John McCain for the Republican Party as we head into the conventions.
Election 2008 will be an historic event as it will be the first time that two seated Senators are running against each other for President. Election '08 will also be the first time that either the Democrats or the Republicans will have nominated a biracial American to run as Our Nation's Leader. Election 2008 will see the first President born outside the United States. The two candidates will also boast the largest age disparity at just under 25 years apart.
No matter which Party you belong to, remember to do your part to get the vote out in 2008.
