The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, founded in 1995, is the nation's largest natural habitat refuge developed specifically for endangered African and Asian elephants. It operates on 2,700 acres in Hohenwald, Tennessee - 85 miles southwest of Nashville.

The Elephant Sanctuary exists for two reasons:

To provide a haven for old, sick or needy elephants in a setting of green pastures, old-growth forests, spring-fed ponds and a heated barn for cold winter nights.

To provide education about the crisis facing these social, sensitive, passionately intense, playful, complex, exceedingly intelligent and endangered creatures.

I love this video from the Elephant Sanctuary
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBDnNiAjt4M

--wild animals love to be released to live lie they were meant to live. It brings tears to my eyes to hear people cheering for their arrival, and Queenie's welcoming squeaks sound like beautiful orangutan welcoming squeaks, too! YAY for animal lovers!!

What a great web site! I am glad that there are others that feel the same way that I do. You would never catch me at a circus. People that visit the circus must not realize that their admission fee basically pays the salary of an animal abuser. The fact that these abusers call themselves "trainers" is an absolute joke. If you have to beat an animal into submission, that's not considered "training", it's called ABUSE. I love your store and have become a HUGE fan!

These Stamps I MUST have!
My heart has been melted by the Sacred Souls at the Elephant Sanctuary in Tenn. I have promised to give suport to them for the rest of MY life. I can think of no finer thing to do at the age of 52. Finding FLORA was the start of finding a new reason to live...to live..to GIVE all that I can each month to the beautiful souls that I love with all my heart & soul. Once I do get these stamps, using them will make me feel just alittle bit closer to elephant heaven out there in Tenn. THANK YOU from the depths of my being & beyond... to ALL the caregivers, who DO CARE and DO GIVE of their selves to these noble wonders on earth!

I love these stamps!! I am so proud and honored to have these beautiful babies on my stamp. I can't wait for a day when elephants as well as ALL the other animals are not used for profit to entertain us humans. Such a disgrace to have endangered species in circuses. Endangered species and circuses???? SMH.

I have purchased some of your stamps in the past.
They were lovely, and I have enjoyed the television shows about your sanctuary. The real tear jerker was the one about the two former circus elephants who had been separated for more than 20 years and recognized each other.
Elephant Sanctuary

Elephant Sanctuary Stamps!
Both these stamps and love them. Elephants at the sanctuary are not "on display". They have a forever home with no obligation to perform on their part. It is not open to the public. They provide a wonderful home to these majestic animals. A great cause. I will definitely buy more of these stamps!

LOVE the Elephant Sanctuary!
I'd like to visit, if I ever get to Tennessee! You should definitely make a t-shirt or poster with the new slogan- "So they loaded up their trunks and they moved to Tennessee." Very clever! Keep up the good work!
