Hello, I'm Kate Sumners and I am the artist behind Endless Sumners Art. My mainstays are charcoal and pastel portraits of people and pets; I also love photography and watercolor painting.
My style is definitely realism and I love to put LOTS of detail in my work. I'm 29 years old and live in Arizona with my husband Brandon and our two Italian Greyhound 'kids' Toby and Scout. I love art, gardening, hiking, and the outdoors.
I've been a self employed artist full time since February 2009 when the economy took a dive and my day job banking position was eliminated. This was definately a blessing in disguise I am very grateful to now get to make a living doing what I love!
My artwork is intensely personal because I accurately capture loved ones with sensitivity, attention to detail & personality. Portraiture is a type of artwork that will be treasured forever and I want to make charcoal become better known as a gold standard medium like oil is. My favorite compliment is that I have often moved the recipient to tears by realistically capturing and celebrating their loved one.
