The executive branch of our govt was made because our founding fathers knew we needed a Leader, not a follower. A leader who must drive the nation forward. But a balance of power was struck via constitution, senate & judiciary. A leader does not necessarily have to follow the will of the masses, after all, not everyone could vote way back when America started. So saying a leader 'has to' isn't true. A leader should make decisions based on their convictions. These convictions of course should be known to those who voted for them. I fear socialism, because I fear my children will grow up feeling entitled, that they should just have Happiness. And they get angry and hate because they aren't just getting it! I don't want them to just get it, via monthly welfare checks or through clock in clock out doctors. I want them to be a little scared, stressed, worried and to know about hard work, perseverance and struggle. I want them to innovate and desire and achieve, and fail, and get right back up and try again, and when they need help, they can seek it out, prove they deserve it, and keep going. It's the Pursuit of Happiness, its that right I want to keep, I don't want it taken away or even GIVEN by the Govt. Keeping it real.

BIG CORPORATIONS want Big Govt, we are agreed. But how do you do that? By adding more laws, more programs that make the population dependent on Govt. How? Free healthcare, social welfare, all the while taxing all those who work their asses off to achieve something. A doctor works 80 hours a week. Under free healthcare, they will only work the alotted time PERIOD. Look at the French system, the #1 healthcare system in the world. And oh yah, it's bankrupt and there's a growing side market of private & expensive care. Its expensive because there's little competition. Liberals want more regulations via Global Warming fears, so does the giant corporation GE , by having more regulations, it will kill small businesses with no lawyers or accountants or environmental inspectors, you see you want to control everything for justice or the environment. But the justice you want is to take away money from anyone rich (no I mean...successful), no matter their hard work, innovation, perseverance and desires to succeed, and you want to distribute it, based on a bureaucratic govt system with social workers, supervisors, mid- level managers, upper mid level managers, district managers, regional, state & federal managers, and give to the poor and needy. The poor and needy will thusly multiply and so will the welfare system with it, and all those who work their butts off or innovate will see it for naught and will don their grey dusty clothes and join the proletariat welfare system.

This should have a f*cking citation; I've heard this shit before and it's throwed. fascism was easy to sell to a bunch of people in fear and desperation who needed help. But they weren't behind the dictatorship and they didn't start fascism; they bought into the idea of socialism. The fact is, movements for justice have always started from the bottom up and that's what we see make progress. PLUS we live in a completely different kind of global economy now, and corporations and government are in bed together and gobbling up the majority of global wealth in a few hands while the rest of the population perishes along with the planet itself! Look, movements can be good or bad, including revolutionary ones (like the one that founded this country). But the leader has to follow the movement of the people; not vice versa. That's the difference between progress and fascism. Have you really considered the implication you're promoting here?
