I'm sorry that you don't agree with what I have to say, but I have every right in the world to say it. Fibromyalgia is a controversial diagnosis as it lacks any sort of abnormality on physical diagnosis and has mostly non-specific complaints that differ from person to person.

If someone is diagnosed with a bladder infection, they have the same symptoms as the next person diagnosed with a bladder infection. They also have abnormalities on their urine dipstick test. Yet, with fibromyalgia, every person has pain of differing severities in different locations. They also have no manifestations of pain -- only complaints. Meaning, we can't manipulate their muscles or joints to make it worse or better.

So, how many people have true constant pain? How many people are looking to score (and sell) pain pills? Don't give me this song and dance, "well I have x pain seen x doctors and am not a druggie I don't even take pain meds blah blah..." -- It always seems that the person that pops off at the mouth defending fatsomyalgia is a perfect patient, done everything right, and never taken a single controlled medication....Congrats on that.

Until such a day comes when we can accurately diagnose this disease of chronic, non-specific, non-locational, non-describable, non-reproducable, non-provable pain, I will continue to question this diagnosis. I will continue to question the necessity of an prescription with "Dx: Fibromyalgia" on it. And I will watch closely any patient that tells me they have fibromyalgia (cause it seems they always want Norco -- and they need to be on antidepressants).

As a final thought, wishing pain upon someone 24/7 is quite disturbing. You think that I am a person with issues and problems and question my desire to be a pharmacist....yet you've made an attempt to curse me? Not cool....and your t-shirts suck....to much fake emo, bleeding heart, pop-culture crap. Who wants to wear a picture of a flower? Honestly....

I'm sure that some people could find this offensive but if you work in the medical field and constantly see patients that ignore medical advice to help themselves and would rather be lazy and label themselves as "fibromyalgia" is gets very frustrating. Many people/doctors do not even believe in the diagnosis and it is given when a patient complains of head to toe body pain when there has been no definitive test results showing the cause of the pain. Like I said everyone is entitled to their opinions and I'm sure whoever designed this T-shirt was probably just having a little fun.

Many people suffer from FIBROMYALGIA who are not overweight. How can you make fun of this real and devastating ailment, why did you choose a profession that works with people as you obviously hate people and your job. You are not doing anyone any favors! You need therapy!
