Fighting Forms by Franz Marc, Vintage Abstract Refrigerator Magnets
Fighting Forms aka Kämpfende Formen (1914) by Franz Marc is a vintage abstract expressionism fine art painting that is dominated by two intertwining and swirling shapes, red and black. It's possible that the red form on the left is suppose to represent an eagle. Marc used many animals in his earlier works to represent emotions and expression. If that was his intent then the image of war is represented here by a bird of prey. About the artist: Franz Marc (1880-1916) was a German expressionist painter, one of the key figures of the German Expressionism movement and a founding member of Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider).
