An adaptation of Ralph Waldo Emerson's quote ("A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature") and my photograph of two very good friends in the rain forest of Indonesia combine in a delightful magnet. These two young male orangutans are Omry and Mitchell. At night, they share sleeping quarters. Orangutan Foundation International cares for both of these orphans, preparing them for eventual release into protected areas of the rain forest. Want to foster an orangutan?
