Futility, Ltd. is a line of pottery by Matthias Merkel-Hess. Some of it is available here and other pieces are made by hand.

For now, I've just got one series on this site—it's called Keeping Busy. Each month, I take a photo in my graduate school studio and turn that image into a mug. The project began in September 2007 and will continue through Summer 2010. Check back each month for the latest design.
