These are some of our favorite and recent deep space photographs from NASA. We love these amazing images and are thankful that NASA has made these available to us. In each case, we made every effort to obtain the highest quality source file available.
These beautiful galaxies are actually millions of light years away (The nebula objects and star clusters are from our own Milky Way Galaxy and are a scant thousands of light years away), and it's only because of recent technologies that we even able to perceive the extremely faint light that reaches our planet. The light from these galaxies originated millions of years ago! Our closest galaxy is Andromeda, and the light from this Galaxy takes approximately 2 million years to reach us!
