Guido Reni’s baroque masterpiece “Bacchus”. Guido Reni was a 17th century Italian Baroque painter. He started his apprenticeship at the early age of nine years old at the studio of Calvaert in Bologna. At the age of twenty three he went to the Accademia degli Incamminati or Academy of Progressives. He is best known for his beautiful brilliant color and eclectic style. Besides canvases he painted ceilings, frescos and alter pieces.
