Guttersnipe is a brand based out of San Diego, CA and conceived early 2007 by brothers/partners Brian & Brandon Solis. With just over 2-years under their belt, Guttersnipe has made a mark in this cut throat industry where persistence and commitment are key factors. Brian, Creative Director, was seeking personal design growth after working as a designer for numerous people like Andy Howell for instance. Brandon, takes care of the Sales, PR, and Marketing of the brand.
The Guttersnipe name was a concept from a street word for a low-class person belonging to the lowest social group or “street” person synonymous to “street wear” and created by both Brian and Alyasha Owerka-Moore of Alphanumeric/Fiberops fame. With very little capital and a lot of support and dedication, Guttersnipe started coming to life after not knowing where the brand was going or what to do with it. Now, Guttersnipe is consistent with the seasons and growing at a pace parallel to its consumer-base. Inspiration is drawn from Southern California lifestyles, attitude, music, personal perspective, and humor. Images found in the Guttersnipe collection are for everyone – Individuals, thinkers, movers, shakers, and YOU. There are no plans of slowing down or giving up now.
