Constitution Author Speaks on Charity & Welfare
It's not in the Constitution, silly! "Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government." And President James Madison ought to know. He wrote the Constitution, he knows what's in there. It's not. Charity, welfare, social programs, health care, foreign aid, they're not in there! Despite all that the present Federal Government claims, charity is not one of its duties. It never was, it never has been. And you know, they do it badly, they should stop. Kind of like me and singing. I don't do it. Period.
