Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll take a few minutes to look around, and don't forget to look at everything -- not just the front page. As you may notice, there is a definite theme to this gallery, and that is history -- although I may, from time to time, offer non-historical items.
I am, in real life, a retired telephone company supervisor who now divides my time between my two greatest passions – history and literature. I am actively involved in the Civil War community and am past-president of the Greater Toledo Civil War Roundtable. Proceeds from sales support the Roundtable's activities. I am also fascinated with Ancient and Medieval history, and am a card-carrying member of the Richard III Society, American Branch. As an enthusiastic student of the American Civil War, I started out by creating products using images relating to this period -- vintage prints and paintings long out of copyright, along with photographs I have taken while visiting battlefields and monuments. Honor their memory! Honor their sacrifice! I have not confined myself to the Civil War era, however, and have branched out into other vintage products, offering merchandise to coincide with major holidays in additional to general history. In addition to a fascination with history, I am also a voracious reader whose tastes range from non-fiction to fiction, from first-hand accounts of Civil War soldiers, to Gothic Victorian literature, and to modern-day paranormal romances. I am particularly fascinated by the Phantom of the Opera phenomenon. My love of all things Phantom began many years ago when, as a teenager, I fell in love with Claude Rains as Erique Claudin. If you, too, are interested in "phantomy" things, I invite you to visit The Write Stuff Gallery also on Zazzle. There, my good friend Lizzy and I have created an eclectic variety of products, a number of which are Phantom related. |
