Describes themself as: I am, in real life, a retired telephone company supervisor who now divides my time between my two greatest passions -- history and literature. I am actively involved in my local history community, am president of the Greater Toledo Civil War Roundtable, and am a card-carrying member of the Richard III Society, American Branch.
Personal Interests: History: Ancient Egypt (especially the 18th Dynasty); Dark Ages and the historical basis for King Arthur; Medieval History and the Wars of the Roses; the American Civil War. I also enjoy gardening (roses, herbs, veggies), and dabbling in genealogy.
Artistic Interests: Years ago, I fell in love of all things Phantom when, as a teenager, I saw the 1943 version starring Claude Rains as Erique Claudin. Since retiring, I have discovered the joys of creative writing. I have posted stories based upon Shakespeare and Phantom of the Opera on a site known as FanFiction.net, under the pen name HDKingsbury, and am currently involved with several other writers in creating an anthology based upon the Phantom, with all proceeds to go the Porphyria Foundation of America.
I also hope someday to compile a history of the 14th Ohio Volunteer Infantry regiment, a Civil War regiment raised in my hometown of Toledo.
