The Hollywood Bowl parking lots have long been an unauthorized Los Angeles driver training ground where parents have brought their children to get their first taste of life behind the wheel. My mother brought me there for my first driving experience when I was 10, and recently I brought my 20-year-old daughter there to learn how to drive stick.
