A high quality pin-on button with visionary appeal and mystic charm.

All sizes available from Tiny to Colossal!

The featured surrealist artwork, (also available as a high detail print in Extra Large sizes up to 60" wide, see GalleryGifts for details) is the artist's depiction of how the flying Vimanas described in ancient Indian text, may have appeared.

These original Chariots of the Gods were described in the Ramayana, the Mahabharata as well as Jaina literature as flying machines, as well as sentient beings that inhabited the skies which served to transport various Indian deities to all kingdoms of the Earth.

From Wikipedia.org: Vimāna-vāsin ('dweller in vimāna') is a class of deities who served the tīrthaṃkara Mahā-vīra. These Vaimānika deities dwell in the Ūrdhva Loka heavens.

According to the Kalpa Sūtra of Bhadra-bāhu, the 24th tīrthaṃkara Mahā-vīra himself emerged out of the great vimāna Puṣpa-uttara; whereas the 22nd tīrthaṃkara Ariṣṭa-nemi emerged out of the great vimāna Aparijita. The tīrthaṃkara-s Abhinandana (4th) and Sumati-nātha (5th) both[9] traveled through the sky in the "Jayanta-vimāna", namely the great vimāna Sarva-artha-siddhi, which was owned by the Jayanta deities; whereas the tīrthaṃkara Dharma-nātha (15th) traveled through the sky in the "Vijaya-vimāna".

Suggested options include: Premium archival heavyweight paper (matte), and Black Frame w/ Ivory Conservation Mat. Acrylic, non-glare glazing.
