Save the Date Magnets

Announcing the date of your wedding is probably one of the most important announcements you’ll ever make, so of course you’ll want to share the news in a unique, memorable way. Create a keepsake that will stick in your guests’ minds (and on their fridge) with Zazzle’s personalized products, and shop Save the Date magnets today!

What popular Save the Date magnet designs are on Zazzle?

If you think that a Save the Date magnet could be more attractive than a standard invitation, well, we’re inclined to agree. Our Independent Creators are very positive about the prospect of sending out Save the Date magnets, and so they’ve uploaded thousands of different designs for you to browse, customize and order. We guarantee that you’ll be drawn to some of these top-ranking results, for example:

  • Simple Save the Date Magnets: These magnets are simple and uncluttered, but that doesn’t mean they’re plain or boring. Add that all-important date – and not much else, admittedly – to these modest, understated designs.
  • Modern Save the Date Magnets: Sleek geometric shapes and minimalist monochrome patterns: it’s all here, among our contemporary-styled themes and templates.
  • Holiday Save the Date Magnets: If you’re planning to align your wedding with Christmas, Thanksgiving or Valentine’s Day, these festive Save the Date magnets will allow you to celebrate both occasions at once!
  • Funny Save the Date Magnets: Getting married means making a solemn vow of commitment to your partner, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a grim, overly formal affair. Set a light-hearted tone for your upcoming wedding with these tongue-in-cheek Save the Dates.
  • Unique Save the Date Magnets: Granted, every Zazzle product is personalized, and thus every Zazzle product is unique. However, among our already-distinctive Save the Date designs, these magnets are particularly remarkable

How do I personalize my magnetic Save the Date?

Now that you’ve decided, presumably, when you’re going to hold your wedding, the next step is to customize and send out your Save the Dates. Using our state-of-the-art design tool, along with the structure provided by our Independent Creators’ products, it’s very easy to swap out photos, input text, insert graphics and cycle through different background colors. And, once you’ve grasped the concept and had some practice, you can also migrate to our custom Save the Date invitations page, where you can start on a completely blank template.

  • Step 1: Select a design you can’t resist and click on its thumbnail to be taken to the product page. You can choose something from the magnets here, or else go to our main Save the Date page, where postcards, cards and magnets can be viewed and personalized.
  • Step 2: Once you're on the product page, choose a desired size, corner style and paper type for invitations, and a size and shape for magnets. Envelopes are included with our cards default, but you can leave them out to secure a slight reduction in price.
  • Step 3: Click on 'Personalize' and 'Edit Using Design Tool.' You can then add images and text elements using Zazzle's design interface – this is where you'll add your own personal touch to your product!
  • Step 4: Click 'Done' and see your final design! Now, not only can you save the date, but you can save the finished product to your cart and place the order. Congratulations on a job well done; you can leave the rest in our capable hands!

When should I send out my magnet Save the Dates?

If wedding invitations should be sent out approximately 3 to 4 months in advance of the big day, then Save the Dates should be sent out 7 to 8 months beforehand (roughly double the time). If you’re planning a destination wedding, then more planning is required on behalf of your guests, and so you’ll need to allow more time for vacation, accommodation and travel arrangements to be made. Save the Dates aren’t necessary, of course, but for larger, longer weddings – that might take place over the course of a weekend rather than a single afternoon – then it’s polite to send something, whether it’s a Save the Date postcard or Save the Date coaster.
