Chimps Deserve Better

More than 1,000 chimpanzees are kept in U.S. laboratories today. Chimps have—and need—rich social and emotional lives, something they can’t experience in laboratories. And they aren’t even good models for human diseases like HIV. Still, these endangered animals continue to be subjected to painful and invasive experiments—some of these chimps have endured more than 40 years as research subjects!
